A newsletter that reviews and
summarizes key literature about
identification, risks, and
management of transfusional
iron overload.
This first issue focuses on iron
overload in myelodysplastic
syndromes (MDS), which comprise a heterogeneous
group of myeloid clonal disorders characterized by
ineffective hematopoiesis. Subsequent issues will
focus on other topics surrounding transfusional iron
overload and its health consequences.
